Woohoo, been ages since i last blogged!!Hahas, now in the midst of a busy season now, with readings, assignments to catch up!But a definitely enjoyable season!!

Hahas, din really noe what to blog about, but well, there are surely some exciting events that happened these few weeks!!:D

First up, the BBQ outing with my SOT team during labour day!!:D

Alrights, they were all saying most of the photos that I am in shown me to be very involved in food, wonder who took all those photos!!:S

Team 21 group photo!!Finally able to see each other not in church or during breaks in lessons. A good time to enjoy each other presence and chit chat without the feeling of impending assignments and lessons!!:D afterwards went over to ron's house to fellowship!!"D

Next up, CG meeting and fellowship!!:D

Was telling one of my friend recently that whenever I am very busy, I will tend to 'isolate' myself from meet ups with friends, which is a very big weakness of me!!So now trying to discipline myself to fellowship with friends more often even in the midst of busyness, cos friends are important part of my life too!!:D

Wondeful Easter Experience:D

The past 2 days of Easter Weekend has really been great and memorable, and every year the drama never fails to amazed and surprised me. And what's more, really happy that the cell group attendence broke through our targets and invited alot of friends too!!:D well that's the hard work of everybody!!:D

Every year since 2003, whenever i watched the easter drama, the part where it neevr fails to bring me to tears is when they depict the scene of Jesus being whipped and crucified by the roman soldiers. The familiar song alongside with the familiar scene where Jesus would walk through the whole hall, being mocked by the 'onlookers', whipped by the Roman soldiers, and when the nailing of hands accompained with the loud thumping, my heart would always shook not with fear, but with pain for Jesus.

If u read in the bible, when Jesus was mocked when hung on the cross, the Pharisees and people who opposed Him asked Him to come down from the cross if He is really the Son of God since He will have the power to do that, and when i was a young christian, i always wondered how come Jesus did not come down and allow the mockery to happen. Yet after some years, i realised that Jesus did not come down so as to achieve His purpose in coming down to earth, to save the sins of mankind so that we can restore our relationship with God. If at that point of time, He did come down from the cross, then the orginal purpose would not be achieved.

But what touched me the most every easter is the unconditional love that Jesus had given me, by dying on the cross, suffering the most cruel punishment that anyone can ever received though i am un-deserving of it. That's is why Jesus commanded us to love the people just as how He loved us. Alot of times, we find so hard to love people that we do not like, yet, unconditional love is the greatest love that anyone can give, in spite of all, loving the person still and willing to forgive him.

On a side note, SOT is really amazing, don noe how to put it in words, but it has really shaped my habits, my mindset and of cos, gaining much more knowledge in a week than i can ever could!!and presenting the best team in SOT, team 21!!:D

And praise God!!went for the BV SOT audition on wednesday and i got in!!:D So this week will be learning from the BVs some stuff!!:D and by the grace of God, i have been scheduled to go for the audition of the church BV ministry!!Well, kinda stressed up right now cos apparently the audition is gonna be held either this week or next week, and hopes i reali can get in!!So do pray for me guys!!:D

SOT has been really great and impactful so far!!:D Been on foundation truths 2, mainly focusing on the aspect of the Holy Spirit, and though last time i had already attended the lessons, but as i begin to go through once again this week, new revelations and encounters started pouring in during the lessons and back home as i was revising through the lessons once again. Wonderful time of praise and worship everyday before the lesson and everyday, all of us receieved a fresh new touch of the Holy Spirit. Finally understand what the verse in 2Cor3:17, where it says, 'where the Spirit is, there is liberty'. In the presence of God, there is no low self-esteem, no unconfidence, no anger, no worries, yet always a sense of love, peacefulness and acceptance:D

Anyway, had really a good fellowship with the cell group just now at changi airport popeye chicken. Always enjoyed this part of the week, cause we will keep each other in updates on what is going in our lives, encouraging one another to keep on moving on, and thinking of ways to help those who are in need. It's always good to see people lives being changed, esp this is so as one of the primary purpose why a cell group exists; we are a big family, coming from different background, yet being able to be together in love. And i am encouraged by some members who really took the intiative and rise up, contributing to the cell group and looking for ways to bless other people and impact each other's lives too.

SOT 2009:D

Today marks a very significant and important day in my life, start of SOT!!:D To me, it's really like a dream come true, cos i hac nv imagine i will be able to afford the time and finances to go for this course, but God is always good, and He always like to help people achieve their dreams, so praise God:D:D

Today is so call the orientation day, but the morning is already very impactful as we have a morning session with Pst Phil. The sermons preached were really amazing and eye-opening, through the whole 4 hrs, i have learnt that the most effective way to learn something is really to teach it. And there is a need for me to set an example first so that people will be willing to follow me.

And i was thinking when back home wad are the things that i really need to set an example and one of the most practical area is punctuality. Like wad Pst Bobby says, coming to SOT is about making disciples and being a disciple, requires one to lead by discipline, not by emotions or circumstances. And i tot since i live nearer than my team mates, it will be good for me to culitvate a disciplined life style by coming much earlier, getting ready and at the same time, book seats for them too. And i tink being punctual in daily lives like meeting frens, cgm, service is also a habit that i need to culitvate and be disciplined in.

Also, the fun part kicks in when we were gathered into our sot team and told to put up a drama with the theme testimony and about the movie x men. Well, we got the grand champ for the whole orientation for our drama and cheer. Cant believe it, but this really got me real excited for the greater things that is to come in the next 5 months. Got attritubues voucher, just in time to buy my bs books too.

Purpose of Conflict?:D

This few days, i have been thinking about what good is there, if two parties are involved in a conflict, yet both want to make their stands and ensure that they win, but in the end, both will end up as losers, neither are winners, but instead, the relationship turn sour as a result.

It's always true that our human reaction when faced with an agrument, is to return back the 'favour' and bullzoze our way to win the agrument. When i was small, i always got the tendency to shout back at my parents, agrue back with my friends, quarrel with my brothers and ensure that i will end up the winner no matter what, but as i grow up, i realise that this kind of process is so tiring.

Why is it better to be a giver than a taker?A taker will ensure that all the things that he is doing will benefit him and only him and will go to whatever it takes to achieve what he wanted. Yet as u think about it, won't he be so tired?Always worrying about everything; worried that he might not get what he want; worried that people will take advantage of him; worried when he need to take action again in order to gain back what he had lost.

But a giver has no worries for him nor to the people he is giving. Yet to him, giving is always a pleasure, a lifestyle that he upkeeps and no matter what happens, others benefits comes above his, and he gains satisfaction in being a blessing to others.

It's true we find it hard to forgive or even love ppl who have hurt us or disappoint us in one way or another, yet, in the bible it says in Matthew 5, even the unchurch also know how to love the people that he likes. So if we do the same, what difference are we from them?Jesus words to us are that we need to love our neighbours and our ENEMIES, loving them, praying for them, forgiving them and even going the extra mile to love them. And that is the unconditional love that we have from God, and we in turn need to share it with others.

Merely just obeying the commandment is never enuf, we do not do it just for the sake of doing it, but obedience is an act of submission, and that means you obey it out of reverence for God but u also make it as a lifestyle in order to be a blessing to others.

I do admit that sometimes i feel very frustrated and angry at a particular person that i feel like 'strangling' him, yet, after so many experiences of anger outbursts, i realise the best way to live out what God has told us to do is to really lift the person up in prayers. The more this person has irritated me, the more i pray for him and committ him to God and after that, i asked God for the dose of compassion so that i can be like Him, willing to love and forgive everybody regardless of the things that they have done to us.

Forigveness is always unconditional, and it's always love that can touched a person life and make their dreams soar again. To people right now, it may seem that i am a weakling by not fighting back and pushing my way through, but if that is so, what are those prisoners, deliquents, drug abusers who have turn over a new leaf as a result of the constant love and perversverence that is shared to them despite of their ungrateful attitudes last time?

Now it may seem as a weakling, but as we begin to take a step back and look at the great picutre, we will know that by being meek, loving and forgiving, we will end up being the ones who are able to impact the lives of people out there who are desperately in need of love and forgiveness. So why not?Instead of acting the usual way we are, why not discipline ourselves to be the ones that God has intended us to be?Though it never easy, but if we are not weary while doing good, God will bring the harvests in due season.

Hahas finally, went to the IT Sow yesterday to get my new laptop!Thought if i go there ard 12pm, it won have that much people, but to my surprise, the whole hall was like already jam packed by that time, looks like people are not really suffering that much from the economic crisis though:D

hahas oh well, finally got my SONY Vaio Sr36GN!!And i got a hard time deciding between silver and black colour, but finally chose silver cause of it sleek interior design!!:D

spent like the whole day installing the necessary programs and customise the lappy. But satisfied with how the laptop is looking and performing, and there's a reason why i chose sony too though the price is always bit over-priced:D:D

Niwar, for those guitarists out there, next time u wanna buy strings or other accessiories, go to bgwguitars.com!!The stuff there are much cheaper than outside and they will mail the product to u immediately; that means u will get to receive on the next day!!So at the recommendation of andrew, ordered the Elixir Strings from them at only $22, compared to the usual $27 that i will need to pay if i go to Sinamex to buy, plus, the transportation cost too!!:D so do take a look if u need to buy strings or gears!!:D:D

Hahas introducing a draft of another newly composed chinese song of mine!!:D Well, it all started today afternoon when i just pick up my guitar and start to play some random chords and a melody and theme just flow into my head!!Got very excited abt it and immeditely spend 3 hrs consecutively without resting touching up on the melody and lyrics!!:D Finished recording before i went to acapella prac so that i can show to de wei and ask him to arrange the song for me. Well, hope my previous song will be ready soon, he can really arrange songs very well!!:D hahas oh well, but this is really a very simple song, and hope it can capture a bit of tat chinese jazzy feeling!!:D

hahas this is the draft of my new song, 宽容, meaning forgiveness:D Drew this inspiration from the story about the prodigal son and his father. The story talks about how the son rebelled against his father, took his portion of his inheritance, went to another place but in the end lost everything he had. Feeling remorseful for what he had done, he decided to return back to his father. And on the way back, to his amazement, his father is standing down there on the road waiting for him.

And i think this story is no stranger to the many Christians who have read the Gospels and attributed it to the love of Jesus Christ, how inspite of the many wrong things that we had done, still willing to forgive us and received us with open arms.

So when writing the song, was potraying a guy standing in the middle of a crossroad, with nothing in his possessions; no friends, no money, feeling lonely and guilty. Desperate of love and a chance to be forgiven, he finally found what he wanted and once again, he felt that his dreams are set free.:D:D

God of My Forever:D

Today received a very touching and nice letter from one of my fellow cell-grp mate:D it's always good to be appreciated and recognised for the work that one has been doing. To be frankly speaking, sometimes i will feel stressful and at loss when serving others because there is not alot of feedbacks and comments given. I do not know whether am i doing the right thing, or is there any area that i need to inprove on. Receiving affirmation from others always never fail to encourage and motivate me to keep on serving others and improve in this area.

Esp in the area of being a cell-grp guitarist, i felt inadequate at times when playing because i feel that my skills is not really that great and i am like so call doing injustice to their time and efforts of the ppl when they sacrifice their precious time to be there during cell-grp meeting. Yet, i always feel encouraged by the compliments that the members have been giving me and all these make me really determined and focused to improve on my guitar skills so much more in 2009:D

Like what i told ascot today during BS, whenever we go about doing things or serving others, we must not have this mentality that we are doing all these for self-recognition, for own glory and own achievement and that we are doing just for the sake of doing. However, recognising the need and taking the initiative to serve people using our own talents and abilites should be our motivation to go about doing things. Just like what John C Maxwell said " People can tell the difference between leaders who are using them for their own gain and those who want to help them succeed. People warm up to warm people. They get to know the heart of someone who cares, and they respond well to them. If you go out of your way to care about others and help them, then they will go out of their way to help you when you ask them to."

But i always believe that the greatest motivator and encourager that one can has is always God. Like what Ps23 says, "Though i walk through the valley of shadow of death, yet i will fear no evil, for God is always with me." At times, i may feel discouraged and at loss of the things that i have been doing, but as i commit all these worries and thoughts to God, He will in turn motivate and encourage me to keep on doing the right things.

Wanna thank this person who wrote this letter to me. Really came as a surprise to me cos i never expect that she will write to me. But ur words really encourage me and renew my thoughts about serving others and becoming an inspiration and blessing to them. To you who are reading this, thanks so much melina!:D

What's a more meaningful way to spend the last day of 2008 by going out with ur closed ones?Hahas so yesterday, decided to do smth new and different with w325!!We went to pulau ubin to cycle. By God's favour, the weather was really good and everybody enjoyed themselves even though it rained like 10 mins right after we touched down at the jetty!And also, yesterday was like the highest turn out for a cell group outing so far if i did not remember wrongly!!Had other plans in mind like zoo?botanic garden? since for the next week there won be any cgm too!!so here are just some photos taken yesterday!!:D

Hahas phew!!:D Finally felt relieved and relaxed after a season of busyness!!So today was a rest day for me and a promise made to mum that i will surely at home for her dinner cos it's been 2 long weeks since i last had a meal at home!!So despite all the temptations of movie outing with the cg, dinner with ns frens, i had to turn them down!!Sorry Guys!!:D

Hahas, okies so this dec really had alot of things; like the christmas party, christmas services, carolling with NJChoir and Lixni's bd celebration!!So the remaining post will be filled with heavy volumes of photos. Cant blame, cos taking photos are always the best way to have memories!!:D

Christmas Party!!

On friday, w325 had really an amazing and wonderful Christmas Party over at Ronaldo's house!Hahas, to alot of people who came that day, all feedback that Ron's house is really nice and classy and i guess most of the members din actually realise it until that day itself!!Well, this year's theme is Season of Giving where we also had our gift exchanges and appreciation for one another!!Of cos, really feel honoured to be able to emcee with my great buddy Maria, always enjoyed working with her!!:D

So here goes the events:

First up, in order to put up a great performance for the party, there were some really hardworking people/group who came down early to practice and make sure everything was in good shape!!:D

Hahas of cos, to kickstart the party there were games hosted by Ron and Damian. The 3 games were really fun and exciting and my fav one is always the blanket game. Supper heart throbbing game!!:D

Afterwards, we had various performances put up by the memebers!!:D

1st perf:

Me and ascot decided to put up an instrumental guitar duet that day!!Credits really have to go to ascot, for his willingness and hardwork in practising the song in only a matter of 2 days before the actual day. And mind you, he has only learn guitar for 2 weeks but was very diligent and hardworking, to the extent of seeking help in the middle of the night. But really enjoyed the process, he is really one dear brother to me!!:D

2nd perf:

Magic performance by the very talented Marquez Yip!!Hahas, the magic was really mind blowing and i believe alot of people who saw his perf on that day were still amazed by his tricks. At the first section of the perf, he asked me to write a time on a paper. Next up, he asked Maria to write a time on a drawing block. Next up, he asked Crystalbelle to turn the knob of the watch till she had the instinct to stop. And it turned up out all the 3 of us actually had the same timing, 0139!!Amazing yea?

2nd section, he asked ascot to draw any object that he want and hold in close to his chest. Afterwards, Marquez drew the exactly same object and it was an elephant that Ascot's grandpa had given him when he was young!!

3rd perf:

I performed the song titled 'If'; its always been one of my fav song!!:D

Afterwards, we had a testimony shared by Jingwei. Was really touching and almost moved me to tears, but i believed the testimony really encouraged both the members and frens!!:D

Next was a video put up by Chit Huat!!The video was really well done!!:D

And of cos, sharing of word and appreciation by the awesome CGL, Phoebe!!:D

Hahas, and there is a carol performance put by the choir frm 3 different schools: NJC, PJC and BBSS!!Performed O Come O Ye Faithful, Silent Night and Joy to the World!!Always enjoyed singing in a group!!:D

Of cos, we had some carols sing along too together as a cell group!!Sang songs like Hark the Herald Angels Sing and Feliz Navidad!!:D

But 2 yrs till now, i will have say that i never regretted being part of the w325 family and pouring out my time here. In this family, we had our fair share of conflicts and anger, yet at the end of the day, we are still a big family that loves and cares for one another. U all have really left a very big footprint in my heart!!:D And of cos, u all r still my best cg i have ever had!!:D:D

As i begin to think of write a new song about Second Chances, i suddenly remembered the story about the father and the prodigal son in the book of Luke and whole theme about forgiving and forgetting.

The story about the father and prodigal son never fails to move my heart whenever i read it and it really describes how people living in the world today yearn for love and forgiveness from others. So for those who never heard of this story, here's how it goes briefly: There is this father living in the olden days who had two sons. So one day, the younger son demands a part of his inheritance even though the father was still alive, and decided to went to a distant country and enjoy his life. In the end, he spent all the inheritance and even had to reduce to being a swineherd. That was the turning point when he decided to reutrn back to his father as he felt that even he was to be the lowliest servant back home, he would still be better off as a swineherd.

When the son was on the long way back home, he kept on thinking that his father would never ever forgive him for the wrongs that he had done and would even disown him. However, to his dismay, his father had been waiting days and years and yearned for his son's return. He stood at the road with wide open arms and received his son into his bosom without any sign of anger or hatred in him. He even went to the extent of ordering his servant to kill a fatted calf and invite all their neighbours to celebrate and rejoice in this joyous occassion.

I always remembered what my parents always told me: No matter how bad the children may become or what they had done, no parents would ever hurt their children. And that a prodigal child coming back is much more precious than gold.

How true is that!!Most of the time, we will find ourselves loving our loved ones, our best friends and those whom we feel are so called on our league of friends. Yet to those whom we regarded as enemies, we will think of ways to gossip about them to others and how to take revenge.

In the gospel, Jesus says that we need to pray for those who persecute us, spitefully use us, hurt us and always pray for them and showing constant love to them. In everyone's lives, there will bound to be someone who has hurt us deeply before, use us before so much so that we find ourselves unable to forgive them and always keeping the hatred deep inside our heart.

Yet like what the story portrays, everybody deserves a second chance to be forgiven and forgotten of their wrongs. At times, emotions will get the better of us and we find it hard to forgive our enemies. Yet, success always involve making the right but the very tough decision and that's where love comes in; by giving unconditional love to somebody even though he or she may not really deserve to get it.

Just like at some point in life, we have hurt our parents in a deep way without realising it. Yet, they are always ready to forgive and forget becasue they have given us the unconditional love.

So let us start to forigve our enemies and sowing into their lives by forgiving them. Who knows, by this little act of kindness, it will change their lives forever like what the prodigal son experience?:D

Hahas, juz came back from guitar worshop with Jeff. Really learn alot of stuff today, and even though what he teach might be simple stuff, but like what he say, if properly used, it can create the suitable atmosphere and flow during cgm.

Hahas, n our homework is a new song called today by ccc, though it juz make up of 4 chords, but alot of techniques are involved like muting, choking, shuffle and a driven 8 beat strumming. And the greatest take away of this lesson is how we can vary lots of common chords that we used and change it to another form such that itcan create another kind of 'feel'.

hahas back from brunei!!apparently during this 3 weeks when i not in singapore, lots of things have been happening esp the youth event on sunday which i m unable to attend, wad a pity!!:X been missing alot of things in singapore like the food, the friends, my family and of cos, my cell-group. They have been a lovely bunch of ppl, sending me sms which never fail to encourage me and made me look forward to seeing them back in singapore.

Basically, today is the first cgm and svc that i attend since a mnth ago and i really have to say that coming back to the presence of God and being with my spiritual family is really a wonderful feeling. As i was playing the guit during the PNW, God begin to encourage me to do greater things after coming back!!

Hahas, recently there has been blessings happening. First up, million thanks to andrew for taking such good care of my guit when i am away. Hahas, he care so much until he even helped me restring the whole guit and the set of guit strings cost quite a substantial amount too mans. So sorry andrew that i took it back so early, relally hope to play more often with ya!!

Secondly, mum has blessed me with a big angbao before leaving for brunei. With the initial intention to save up for the Taylor guit, i decided to spend it on some useful stuff. So in de end, spent quite a lot i will sae la, bot guit strings, straps, picks and 3 music dvds!!

First dvd:

Leaving out the non-essentials, Paul focuses on the critical fundamentals that will help you:

* understand and use the Nashville number system
* see and hear relationships between notes and chords
* hear and feel any modern chord progression
* speak the language of music
* write and arrange your songs more creatively
* have a better understanding of all kinds of music

2nd Dvd:

On this DVD, Paul and his band discuss and demonstrate how to:

* identify and eliminate distractions
* utilize the flow factors of “themes, keys, and tempos”
* develop a seamless setlist
* change keys and transition smoothly
* cultivate a heart of worship in your team

hahas seriously, i tink this dvd is really good stuff mans, very very useful for worship leaders to understand how to create the flow, and Paul and his band really demonstrate it so well!!

Lastly:

This dvd teaches all the different kind of moveable fretboard patterns, how to play solo and even backup in all keys, the chord progressions and even the different types of scales to made songs sound more unique and out of the box even with the same chord!!

hahas this dvd is more intense in content compared to the other 2, but i believe they will help me to improve my guit skills when i begin to prac everyday!Pray for me that i will have the discipline!

Today cgm msg on Possessing the Future really speak right into my heart. Looks like i have to start planning and trust God on the different areas like: guitar skills, friends, cg, ministry and relationship wif God. Looks like today will be a good thing for me to really sit down and plan carefully.

On the other note, monday will mit up with xh, mav, luanz and rhoda!!Excited for it. According to xh, there is actuali a 99c sushi at cathy?hahas well, lookin forward to mitin them!!:D

Niwae today in cgm, lx post us the 'Bible Challenge', to read finish the WHOLE of bible by tht end of the year, so that we will be more knowledgeable of the Word of God and the different stories inside!!Okay, this sounds like a taunting task, and i calculated there are 1189 chapters in total, so leaving the cg with about 84daes, tat means one dae we nid to read around 15 chaps a day! But well, there will always be a reward installed for us!!For those hu managed to finished it, lx will bless him with a new high quality bible!!wahahas, i m ready for the challenge!!:D

Yest's cgm was really powerful and impactful; one of the best i have experienced so far. Initially the msg was about praying, but learnt about praying and singing in the spirit, and how to worship. Even though i have learn all this fundamentals, but i have gained new knowledge and revelations. As the cg begin to worship God with the song 'Amazing', the presence and power of God was really so strong and tangible; everybody just enjoyed dwelling in His presence and worshipping Him. As i was playing the guitar, i could feel God's calm and His anointing upon me.

Still rem the first time i played as a cg guitarist, i played the song "Amazing" too. It really brings back good memories of those days and looking back how i have grown to now. Indeed, God is always amazing and He is always there walking with us our life journey.

Yet, i thanked God for yesterday's message, where a simple but of a great faith woman trusted and obeyed God in everything she does, and she become the co-founder of the largest church of 750,000 in the whole world. The message really become a deep revelation to me; on how i whatever things i do, be it small or big, that i should trust in Him and put my total obedience to Him.

As i begin to lift up my burdens, my purpose to Him, i realised the best way to walk this life journey of mine is simply based on two words: trust and obedience.

hahas i am gonna really watch this movie!!:D this show revolves around the famous general of Liu Bei, ZHao Yun, after he was dead, and Zhao Yun had to fight battles to protect the kingdom. went to NAFA to watch melina's choir concert wif phoebe, maria, jingwei, anna, 2 marcus and ronaldo:D its entertaining because they perf tgt wif CO and sang famous tunes like the prayer, somewhere out there, you raise me up, home, wu ding!!:D and of cos, congrats to melina for a gd job well done!!even though it will be her last choir perf, bt i believe that there will be future chances for u to perf more on stage!!:D for now, all the best for Os!!:D

2 weeks ago, Phoebe asked us in cgm who is our favourite bible character, and immediately Job came to my mind. Here is an excerpt from one of the site about Job:

The Story of Job the Long-suffering.

In ancient times, east of Palestine, there lived a righteous man by the name of Job. He was a just and good man, who always strove to please God throughout his life. The Lord rewarded him for his piety with great wealth. He had many hundreds of large and thousands of small cattle. His large and close family of seven sons and three daughters comforted him.

But the Devil was jealous of Job. He began to vilify him before God, "Doth Job fear God for nothing?... But put forth Thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse Thee to Thy face." Then God, in order to reveal to all how faithful Job was to Him and in order to teach people patience in their sufferings, permitted the Devil to take away all of Job’s possessions. One day robbers came and drove away all his cattle, slew his servants, and a terrible tornado from the desert destroyed the house in which Job’s children had gathered together, killing them all. Job not only did not complain against God, but he said, "God gave, and God hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord."

The Devil, put to shame, was not satisfied with this. Again he began to slander Job, "All a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth Thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh (that is, strike him down with disease), and he will curse Thee to Thy face." God permitted the Devil to deprive Job even of his health, and Job was stricken with the most terrible disease — leprosy. Then even his wife began to persuade him to complain against God. His friends, instead of consolation, only further grieved the innocent sufferer with their unjust suspicions. But Job remained firm, did not lose hope in the mercy of God and only begged the Lord to testify that he was suffering in innocence.

In his discourse with his friends, Job prophesied about the Redeemer and of the future resurrection: I know that my Redeemer liveth and on the last day He shall raise from the dust this my corrupted skin, and in my flesh I shall see God. I shall see Him myself; mine eyes, and not the eyes of another, shall behold Him (Job 19:25-27, Septuagint).

After this, God, having shown to all the example of devotion and long-suffering in His servant Job, appeared Himself and commanded his friends, who had regarded Job as a great sinner, to ask for prayers from him for themselves. God rewarded His faithful servant. Job regained his health. He had seven more sons and three daughters, gained back twice as much cattle as he had before, and lived another one hundred and forty years in honor, quietly, piously and happily.

The story of long-suffering Job teaches us that God sends misfortunes not just for sins, but that sometimes God sends misfortunes even to the righteous for an even greater confirmation in goodness, for the shaming of the Devil, and for the glorification of the righteousness of God. The history of the life of Job also reveals to us that earthly welfare does not always accompany a virtuous life for men and teaches us also to be sympathetic to those in misfortune. Job, by his innocent sufferings and patience, foreshadowed the Lord Jesus Christ.

The reason why i admire Job so much is that he stands so firm even in the face of trials and persecution. Not only was his possessions and livelistock taken away, even his dearest family memebers were killed. And the worst of all, he had diseases and painful boils upon his body. Yet in the midst of facing such physical and emotional agony and pain, Job does not waver in his trust for God but belive that God is always with him in all circumstances. All of us have problems which sometimes we cant seem to overcome it and in the midst began to feel frustrated and draw away from God. This year i have experienced some really challenging times, and i do admit that at times, i jux simply wanna give it all up, run away from the trouble, and run away from God. Yet as i begin to look at Job's life, i begin to realise how small my problem is compared to his; why cant i trust in God for His wisdom and strength like Job?

Trials are meant to make us grow to another level of anointing and strength. With greater levels comes greater challenges.

No couples on the wedding day will make a pledge to love each other for maybe just 10or 20 years.
No businessman will start up a business with the intention of just running it for a couple number of years.

In everything that we do, everybody starts out some pojects because they want to build to last. They want it to last for eternity, leaving a legacy and yet, being able to impact lives.

In order for success to happen, we must focus our energy and time in the right direction and at the right stuff. Yet, change is necessary to take away our old mindset, so that our attitudes will be renewed and that our actions plan will change too. Hence, change and focus do not contradict each other. Rather, we need to focus on the right things that's why we have to change.

When we look back at our life, we may tell ourselves that we are very successful in life, yet we may not realise that we are actually climbing on the success ladder but leaning on the wrong side of the wall.

Hence, we need to focus on values, which are necessary for long term growth.

Value #1: Loyalty
As we begin to pledge loyalty to somebody, his visions will be come my visions. Many a times, we have to protect the one whom we regard as our mentor or leader. As i was reading the book on being the armorbearer for my leader, the author mentions that it is important that i protect the leader from accusations, slandering, criticism, only then will i treasure the relationship that both of us. Without loyalty, it is liken to an army of disloyal soldiers, ready to surrender any time when they face dangerous battles.

Value #2: Committment
Until committment comes into place, nothing will really happen. As we begin to be committed to the things we are doing, be it a project or towards a relationship, we will begin to take practical action steps and not just talk the talk.

Value #3: Respect
We have to respect the relationship we have, for it precedes ministry. Especially to our leaders and mentor, we have to give honor to whom is due, for familiarity will breeds danger. By understanding respect, we will learn how to humble ourselves and serve him.
Submission to authority is a kingdom-attitude.

Value #4: Accountability
We have to be accountable to the person who dedicate the authority to us. Without accountablity, there will not be any evaluation or discussion done, and we will not know what is reali in the heart of the person. By being accountable, we are letting everything made known to the leader, where proper evaluation can be taken place and more sounding steps can be taken to improve or solve a situation.

Value #5: Family
In the midst of our busy schedule, we have to learn to honor our family. We cannot lead by example unless our family is stable and there is respect given to them.

Value #6: Love (forgiveness, mercy, grace)
It's through love that healthy relationships can be built.

Value #7: Faithfulness
Faithfulness is the cornerstone for character. It begins with faithful in the little things. Only if we are faithful in what is least, will we be faithful in what is much, and more important and greater things can be entrusted to us.

Value #8: Hard work
I have to labor in order to reap what i have sowed.

Value #9: Integrity
We have to speak the truth, live in truth and build our lives on truth. If we are living in darkness, we cannot be called the light of the world.

Value #10: Generosity
We have to be a giver rather than a taker. By being generous, we will be able to break envy.

As i was going through all these ten values, i thank God that it is really a word in season for me. It really teaches me how to build things that last, how to build relationship that lasts. Through the week, i was reading Robb Thompson book about building relationships, and he mentions that relationships will determine the outcome of our lives as they will help us or break us in our course of our purpose in lives. This leads me to think of how am i able to build a stronger and lasting realtionship with my cgl, wif my close frens and wif my cg mates.

Hahas, here to update the few daes of cny so far!!:D been reali a good time of catching up wif frens, relaxing at home catching those new yr shows on channel 8 and U, eating good food n collecting angbaos!!:D

on chu san, my choir mates like xiangting, chuwen, linus, luanz, mav, zr, xh and lay managed to come my hse to 'bainian'. as my parents were both not at home, well, my bro has the honour of giving the angbaos to them, weird huh?

Afterwhich proceeded to mav hse to enjoy her mum's cooking, watch dramas and play cards there, pure enjoyment and relaxation mans!!:D

hahas well, even though alot of ppl and even i myself feel that as we get older, the feeling of excitement for cny kinda dwindle and fade away!!rem how when i was young, i always look forward to chu yi to go bainian, see my relatives and getting angbaos!!:D and everything i receive an angbao, i will be the one hu will open it in the car when travelling from places to places to count how much money i have so far!!n by the end of the day, i will count the total 'earnings' for the whole new yr!!:D come to tink of it, those daes were really fun!!:D

Well, but hu saes CNY won be fun when we grow up?I look forward to reunion dinner, bainian, angbaos collecting esp this yr!!don noe well, bt juz feel excited!!:D

hahas and this year really turn out to be quite a good chu xi and chu yi so far!!:D yest went to my ah ma hse and had a really sumptuous reunion dinner!!ate reali ALOT but managed to catch up with some of my cousins as well!!:D

And chu yi is fun todae!!:D went alot of hse visitations, ate alot of snacks, drank alot of soft drinks n its really full!!:D and best thing is my mum whipped up a few new yr dishes for dinner; finger licking food!!:D hahas here are some of the photos taken todae at home wif my cute neighbours and relatives!!:D

hahas its always good to be able to gather tgt, to mit up and catch up once a year. And i always notice that it's in the new year that ppl are exceptionally happy and the atmosphere is light and nice!!:D

todae went to send maria off to europe alongside with lixin,marquez,jianhui,damian,ascot,jingwei!!So envious of her, able to go to few different countries in europe for 6 weeks!!!!:D hahas tat is lyk oh mans, gotta miss her presence for 6 weeks!!:D and to maria, if u r seeing, wanna tell u tat i m looking forward to ur return cos u hav been reali a great help to the cg and u r reali a v nice partner to work with and a gd fren to tok to!!:D but nevertheless, enjoy ur trip there n take care of urself!!:D

hahas well, it's been more than 2 weeks since my last entry and quite alot of ppl have been telling me to update soon, so here it is wif a long entry about what i have done for the month of dec for the past two weeks!!:D

hahas but before i begin, juz wanna wish Phoebe a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO U!!!!!!wahahas, she is really a wonderful, fantastic, amazing, anointed, caring, friendly, helpful, committed or whatever adjectives u have to describe; in summary, she is the best cgl!!:D thanks for always inspiring me through the way u lead the cg and the words u speak into my life for u never fail to encourage and motivate me to use my talents for the marketplace!!:D

the song that u hear now is written by phoebe; the lyrics are really really very meangingful and it always touches my heart whenever i hear this song over and over again, and i really feel so honoured to help her arrange and record this song!!:D XIE XIE NI LIXIN!!::D:D

hahas the month of dec have truly been a busy and hectic month; at times feeling really tired and frustrated over the many things that i need to do, but as i begin to approach the end of the month and look back, all the activities have truly been enriching and also challenged me to move up another level of greater capacity!!:D

First up, right after the breakaway camp, was carolling wif the njchoir at raffles city on 20,22 and 23 dec. It was really fun getting back to sing carols wif them again after one long year and i really miss singing wif them alot!!:D also had various acapella grp singing the different carols and they really make the whole carolling session more exciting and unique. After carol sessions were followed by the traditional makaning session tgt to eat and catch up. Here r some of the photos!!:D

Second up, the christmas service!!:D well this year round, the svc was really great, the whole atmosphere was really heartwarming wif the candle light svc, the halirious yet touching drama, the convicting Word and of cos, the wonderful fellowship wif the cg after the whole events!!:D Din managed to get the fotos yet from the ppl, but here r some of them!!:D

And third up, was the thanksgiving part held on friday 2 daes ago!!:D well, coming tgt as a cg to celebrate the end of year and appreciate one another is always a great feeling. Watched a very heartwarming vid made by Maria of the journey of w325 for the past one year, each of us showing thanksgiving to one another, playing games, taking grp foto, fellowshipping wif the wonderful food made by Jingwei Marcus Huiyun Melina made the whole part a great success!!:D And not forgetting celebrating Lixin Bd as well!! really hope that w325 will move on strongly tgt and go on for greater achievements in the coming 2008!!:D

looking back in the year 2007, it has been a journey of ups and downs but nevertheless, it has really make me grow up alot and realise the goodness of God in all this events that have happened. esp in the area of cell group, after being reshuffled to a totally new environment of w325, i have experienced a total new culutre and frens. but they always make me feel belonged to the cg.

And a big thanks to Maria for being alongside wif me to help out tgt wif lixin. believed that the past year of working tgt have forged a great frenship tgt and thanks for helpign me when i have trouble and i hope that 2008 we will work even better and closer tgt for w325!!:D

hahas yest went wif adeline n elicia to go geylang eat good food!!:D everytime heard frm tv n frens that geylang got reali nice food, btu oh wells, yest was the first time i been there reali to eat lo!!:D hahas n thanks to the 2 cousins, that i get to try frog leg porridge aka tian ji zou for the first time in my 19yrs of existence!!:D initally was disgusted of eating a frog and somemore heard frm ppl tat they actualli beat th frogs to death wif the stick. but when i tasted it, it realli tasted great, almost similarly to prawn n crab meat!:D and eating it wif porridge, really is lyk oh mans ohmans!!:D nv regret trying it mans!!:D:D

After that we went to eat thefamous youtiao wif soya bean milk n beancurd!!:D sat there for lyk v v long time, chatting and toking abt old stuff n present stuff!!:D n the most interesting thing is that we currently have one v interesting common topic to talk about!!:D:D bt wells,been grt eating wif them,they reali make a real bunch of nice frens lo!!:D:D

hahas and todae, jianhui suddenly called me in de afternoon inviting me to the mini bbq help at chit huat hse tgt wif marquez and junwei!!:D also, nv regretted going though, spend alot of time eating good food, chatting, playing uno and receiving pumping as punishments and taking fotos!!:D always been a grt feeling to hang out tgt as bros and big thanks to jianhui n chithuat for buying the food and organising the whole thing!!here some fotos taken todae.....

Breakaway Camp:D

Breakaway camp is indeed like what phoebe says; life changing camp and an awesome camp!!:D In this 3D2N camp, i can say for certian that this is the best ever camp that i have ever attended in my whole life!!

Went on sunday night around 10pm to KCPSS to prac for the Praise and Worship. Upon reaching there, i am already filled with excitement for the programmes that are lined up for the camp. The committee members were really hardworking and committed to the camp, throughout the whole night, they did not have a wink and stayed up the whole night to prepare for the games. We started the prac at around 1030 and time passed so fast that when we finished the prac, the time was around 1!!:D After that, went to do the hse banner wif the other team leaders and stayed till about 330 the time we finished the banner!!:D

The next morning, that's where the fun begins. Basically had ice breaker games, cheering session and of cos the human monopoly where the teams have to go thru each station to break the record to accuquire money and build houses there!!:D was proud of my whale team cos we almost broke every of the record and managed to found 6 community chests cds!!:D every station we went, we encouraged each other and had cheer every station.

On tuesday was the sentosa dae and even though the weathjer was not really favourable, but we really enjoyed ourselves to the fullest!!:D

To me, the breakaway camp was really awesome, esp the night sessions; for each session never fail to challenge my mindset to live my life fullest for God to be a blessing to others. It was esp the first night session where all the ppl's hearts were stirred; where B.Darren tok abt the hand of God and how each of us have a purpose in life that God has placed in us. No matter how old we are as a Chrisitian, God always move in us constantly.

In here,i feel so blessed to be able to play in the praise and worship team alongside wif faji,andy,michelle,ian. Playing tgt wif them is the greatest honour and privilege that i have from God and i really learn alot out of the many prac we have and the sessions that we play tgt. In the first night, as the ppl was being ministered, we ourselves too were ministerd in another way on the stage. They r one the greatest bunch of ppl to play wif and out of it also forge good frenships!!:D

Also, a big thanks to my whale team!!:D its been a grt honour to be the team leader of the grp!! stil rem carrying the big float whale everywhere we go, playing games, eating meals, cheering, and having rehearsals for the talentime!!N so proud that we r the best team in the tsunami house and the best camper (Jingwei) comes from our group too!!:D

Also proud to be in the tsunami house!!:D though in the first day we were the last in de medal tally board, but we went on to strive for better results ad became the 2nd overall house!!:D Just lyk wad B.Gabriel says, its not the quantity that matter for we are the smallest house, but the quality that matters!!:D The team leaders of tsunami was also v motivated and committed, losing our voices on cheering and that proves a fact when we won the best cheer award!!:D

This breakaway camp has really been a life changing one for me; for it breaks away my old mindset and challenge me to put on a totally new mindset. Indeed, breakaway is awesome!!:D

Had a very fruitful guitar lesson today, went through the song we learnt 2 weeks ago, teaching them abt the theory of capo and finally plucking. Well, it's been almost 1 mnth since the lesson started, and i can say that they are really enthusiasitc about learnign and one of the evidence is through the vast progress and improvements they have made!!:D still remember when i frist learn guitar, it took me reali a long time to learn what they have learnt right now, so guys if u r reading this, keep up the good work and keep on practising what u have learnt so far!!:D

Thanks to jun gang for blessing me with the sugary donut!!:D rem telling him yest tat i esp love sugar donut in bakery cos i lyk traditional taste and he reali got me tat!!:D thanks so much bro!!:D

30 more days to the end of 2007, like wad pst says yest, it does not matter what we have done for the past 11 mnths, cos its over already, but wad is most impt is the remaining 30 days that we can use so that we can rem that 2007 is a great yr!!:D

hahas this song is one of the signature song for TTBB--my acapella group!!:D suddenly got a chance to browse thru all the songs n chanced upon this song. When i hear it, it really brings back alotof beautiful memories of singing tgt even when we r busy studying in jc!!

I rem this song was arranged by our master composer,De Wei, as a performance for our seniors farewell night. At tat time, TTBB was just an unknown singing force, yet v passionate in singing tgt. This song was so special in a way because this was combined with 3 diffrernt songs and each of the 3 songs have the word "leaving" in them.

First song is leaving on a jet plane, 2nd song easy term, 3rd song leaving's not the only to go, with solo louis, haoguang and me respectively!!:D

Stil rem the times where after lessons or even after choirs, we will prac this song till as late as 10 plus, often reaching home at 11 plus or 12, tired but feeling v satisfied!!it is this passion for singing and frenship that always keep us going on admist of all the homeworks that we have.

This song was recorded on 930pm at the sch atrium becos of its grt acoustic, and it was the time when the sch practically had nobody, and we just immesed ourselves; enjoying every bit of singing this song, closing our eyes, standing in a circle, singing to the center. The feeling was really great, as it really makes us liberated and having the feeling of singing over and over again. Altough the sound quality recorded is not superb, but whenever we hear it, it really touches our heart!:D

Stil rem the times where we went all out to write more songs, arrange more songs, take part in performcaes, talentime, charity concerts and all this hav not come easy!!Really hope to cont singing wif this grt bunch of wonderful ppl!!thanks so much ttbb!!:D

What a beautiful verse to encourage and minister to us when we are going through problems, trials and tribulations. Indeed, life is alwyas not a bed of roses, there will definitely be trials that will come to oppose us. Yet, as we begin to look from God's angle, God's perspective, trials are journeys in life that He has allowed to mould our character and to challenge us, so that through them, we might understand our purpose and will in God. Of cos God is always good, He will not give us temptations that is beyond our limits, so we can always hang on to this promise and claim that we can always overcome all things through Christ who strenthens me!!:D

Had a wonderful and fruitful guitar lesson at riverwalk yest, elson and andrew got full marks for the test!!:D And the students really progress very fast, and this is credited to their hard work and practice throughout the week. Vincent actually prac the guit every morn he wake up, and practice makes perfect, from a person hu does not noe how to play guit at all, he can play reali quite smooth yest!!:D finally completed one song, and next week, gonna teach them about plucking and other common chords with referece to a song!!:D

Was v touched by the guit students of n380 yest; they actually presented me a card which thank me for the effort put into teaching them. Well, things like this always motivate me to push on and cont to put in my best to teach them!!thanks so much n380!!:D Hahas, surely pray that from my whole group of guit students, there will arise guitarists who will have passion for music!!:D

Hahas thur was a fruitful day for me!!:D Had a good day going out with mum, eat dim sum till full to the max and went bit of shopping!!:D hahas its been a long time since we do that since her work is always so busy but it is always good, take a day off and relax!!:D

Hehe we finish shopping unexpectedly earlier, and i had to mit marquez in the evenng for tutition and bs, so what to do?i immediately tink of kicking soccer with the hougang cg memebers marquez and jianhui!!:D hahas had reali a v gd time kicking wif them and some of their HI mates!!:D eventually, our team won yea?Marquez scored hat trick and me n jianhui both net in 1 goal!!:D

Hahas after tat went to marquez home go bathe and had tuition and bs!!:D and the best part of all is that he finally showed me a feast of his magic tricks!!:D oh mans, his tricks is not those merely got from the magic box of cards available at toysarus, but his type is those entertaining yet shocking kind!!:D hahas one of the amazing trick is he ask me write a name that i am thinking, and he tore the paper without looking at them and can guess the name correctly!!:D shocked beyond words!!:D

Today has really been a ministering day to me!!It really shows me how wonderful God love is all the time even though we may be down n out at times. Jiaxin presented a poem abt how we shld come back to the love of God and focus on Him again. N jingwei presented a script that she wrote herself. Inspired by the works of anne rice, she wrote through the mind and eyes of Jesus and His feeling when He was being crucified in Calvary. Even though i don really appreciate literautre that kind of person, but i was really touched by the revelation that God has given to Jingwei and the story almost make me went in tears. I can almost visualise myself in that scene; seeing Him undergo all the torment just to use His blood in exchange our realtionship with God. Thanks so much jingwei for ministering to me in a great way!!:D

New things are slowly to unfold; though the next 2 months will be busy, but it will defintely be a challenging yet fruitful journey wif God!!:D One of the highlight will be the album that w325 will be releasing at thanksgiving party at end of dec!!:D Till now, our cg have composed a total of 7 songs and we decided to compile them and record them more professionally with drums, guitars, keyboard and all that!! we also have ideas to put in jx and jw stuff inside too!!:D

Wahahas, been quite some time since i last post an entry that is smth personal?hahas bt there is so much things that i wanna tok abt!!:D

Firstly, my very lovely cell-group w325 celebrated my bd yest at marina sq's rocky master!!:D hahas n the restaurnat worker had to specially arrnage the tables n chairs cos there is quite a significant number of us!!:D Hahas, that's de first time i been to rocky master, and i can sae tat the ambience there is reali quite gd, plus the food and drinks!!:D ordered lasagne and mango frost in de end, serving quite big too!!:D here r some of the fotos, with compliments frm the Olevels maria!!:D....

Yest learn about how we r going to achieve our destiny and vision. In life, some of us may not yet learn what is our purpose in life and some know. Yet at times, we find so hard in achieving it, mayb it is cos what the current situtation that is hampering us or our own mindset, yet, fulfilling our goals in lives is what God has called us and intend us to do.

Firstly, our way of thinking and mindset must change. Our attiudes determine our altitude in life. Of cos, when we walk the unknown road towards our future, we may have fear for we do not know whether r we walking in the right direction or what the future holds of us. Yet, as we begin to take the first step of faith in walking that road, fear will be eliminated and God will be helping us to take ten thousands of steps towards our purpose.

Secondly, we must believe, that is to make a decision. Between me and my destiny, there alwyas lies a wall of doubt. To break the doubt, it requires compassionate prayers and decisions to break it. To release my committment, i gotta pray about it all the time!!:D

In Genesis, God speaks of giving Abraham the lands which he will be able to visulise and see of!! the power of imagination and visulising is a very powerful tool to pump up our faith and whatwever things i can see it, we will be able to have it.

As i begin to watch of the video of Dr Cho's 730,000 strong church, it reali pump up my faith and as i begin to visualise it, i get more and more challenged and excited about my purpose.

God has been giving me the vision of being a musician in the ministry of God, to minister to ppl and relating to them with songs and also, to write songs that will be able to change ppl lives. Yet at times, i will feel so challenged and so inadequate about it. But i know that as i begin to speak into my vision, God will bring it past for me!!:D Lets arise tgt!!:D:D

The Character Of A Worship Leader

I Sam. 16:18 I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the harp. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.

As a worship leader, I am always amazed and humbled at the task before me. Helping hundreds of people each week to experience the power and presence of God is quite an awesome task and one which requires much prayer and preparation.

As I have traveled to other churches, I’ve met other worship leaders from many different backgrounds. The ones who are truly making an impact all have one thing in common: they are men and women of character.

You can be the most amazing pianist in the world or be the most anointed singer in your church, but if people don’t trust your character, you’re not going to lead with great success. You see, God uses our character to support the gifts, talents and abilities in which he uses us. Without character, the demands of ministry would soon cause us to buckle under its weight.

There are six areas of David’s character which were evident to those who knew him. Let’s look at them now.

A Skilled Musician
A son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the Harp. David was a skilled instrumentalist and was known for his ability. There is something to be said for the musician or singer who invests in their craft; who take the time necessary to practice their skill.

It was part of David抯 character to exercise discipline in his gift. And because of it, it helped to make him renown throughout the city.

A Man Of Authority
He is a brave man. I believe that David commanded authority. When he spoke, people listened; when he issued a command, people responded.

People simply want to follow someone who knows where they are going. If you are properly under the authority of your Pastor and you have been given a responsibility for your ministry, then you have the right and the mandate to walk in authority. Carry out your Pastor’s vision with diligence and fortitude and watch people rally around you.

A Warrior
He is a warrior. We are all aware of David’s warrior nature. He fought with lions and bears. These experiences of his youth would later qualify him to overtake the real enemies of God in real warfare.

Music ministry is not simply a fun way to sing songs together. The more unity, skill and purpose of a group, the greater the anointing and warfare it will experience. Any local church that is advancing the kingdom of God will experience warfare. And usually the praise and worship team will be at the forefront of it. Judah always goes before the people into battle.

Psalms 68:1 says, May God arise, may His enemies be scattered; may His foes flee before Him. All we have to do to engage in warfare is to praise God and we immediately attract the attention of the forces of darkness. Effective praise and worship ministries will need strong leaders and intercessors who believe in the power of prayer. This team will not underestimate the power of the enemy. They will purposefully and boldly advance a spirit of praise and worship that will be a dynamic part of a local church.

Articulates The Vision
He speaks well. This person knows the core values of his ministry and can articulate them with precision. He represents his pastor and church in any situation.

A Man Of Excellence
He is a fine-looking man. The bible tells us David was a good-looking young man. I believe he had a spirit of excellence in the way he presented himself. As leaders in God’s house, we must be mindful of our appearance. Not in a prideful sense but rather with an understanding that God wants our very best. We see the same principle in the sin-offerings of the Old Testament. We would not have brought an animal with a blemish to give to God, only the best of our flock.

Let it be excellent, not only in our appearance, but in the way we communicate and relate with our team and leaders.

Anointed For The Task
And the Lord is with him. This is by far the most important part of our character. We need God’s anointing and presence in our ministries. This was the one thing missing from King Saul’s character; and probably the root reason he loathed David so much.

It takes much more than great skill and presence to lead a congregation in worship. Seek God’s presence and favor in everything you do. His anointing will always bring us through.

We need great character to accomplish God’s purpose! May we all have it in increased measure by the power of God working in us.

Hahas hey yo guys, i am back!!:D:D This week have been an eventful and exciting week and there r so many wonderful testimonies that I wanna thank God for, for giving so many opportuniites to experience His goodness and never failing love!!:D

Firstly, thanks to phoebe for lending me the hillsongs--Saviour King album. Believe that many of u have been touched my the many songs inside it, esp Hosanna, Here in my Life and Saviour King. Personally, feel that this album is really very nice, so if u can, grab a copy of it though!!:D

Yest learn so much abt servanthood and being a servant to the people around us. Jesus has chosen to be a servant and He knows that servanthood can make someone great. Being a servant to others is no easy; it requites a great deal of time, energy, effort and sacrifices. However, with servanthood comes contentment, maturity and what we sow inside will eventually reap back. As we begin to give, we will find that we will receive more because we r opening the hand that stores the many things we had and giving it to ppl.:D:D

Yest was a grt time of celebrating maria and marquea birthday at miss clarity cafe!!:D Wahahas first of all, a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the both of them!!:D You two have really been a great assest to the CG and the atmosphere is always fun and enjoyable whenever u two are around!!:D Exams r still coming on the way, and sure hope tat ur wishes will come true and ur results will be shining for God!!:D jiayou jiayou!!:D

The cafe setting was nice; kind of those cartoons style with dim cute lights and decoraed menu, and it sure makes eating much more pleasurable even though the food may be those similar served in other restaturant, so if u can, try it out, its at bugis!!:D

Also, yest was v deeply impact during the svc, even though the things shared r so basi and foundational, but it never fails to convict and blessed me with the Word. As i begin to write down my vision yest, i m v excited for open heaven to pour out wonderful blessings upon me and the cg that there will be no room to contain it!!:D

This is what most of the ppl share yest during cgm where we were asked to think what is our statement of the CG as on now. Truly, a cell group is where God has planted us for a specific purpose tgt with a grp of ppl hu can help each other and go all out to fulfill their destiny. Many times though we may seem insignficant in a cg, but God never sees tat in His eyes, rather just the small little things can also encourage and motivate the person to keep on moving in life!!:D

Recently, we have been learning on issues such as what is a CG, about building relationships and abt using our strenghts to encourage and bless other ppl. And i m glad that i have learn so much things during cgm and like what phoebe says, we must build a culture of love in the cg before we can even apply it to the marketplace. And i believe from now, w325 will never be the same again; it will be a place where ppl truly loves and care for one another, having a strong spiritual anointing in it!!:D

Hahas, yest after cgm was supposed to donate blood tgt with phoebe and maria, and so we cab down to expo in order to be in time for the registration. Though we reached early, but oh mans the registration was closed due to too many ppl, disappointed as we are, but stil glad that we managed to went for fellowship at BK!!Nxt sun it shall be!!:D

And had a wonderful time after svc going wif them to raffles city to eat mos burger!!:D Hail to Jianhui for availing himself to come too!!:D:D

Today, my fren sms me telling me of an event that happened which in my life i always feel it is impossible to achieve, but it really encourages me upon knowing it, Praise the Lord!:D

Whew this 3 daes have been great fellowshipping with ppl that i nv hang out for quite some time:D Hahas special thanks to adelineJoie for inviting me to see a play at durian head "Attempts on her life" as she need to write an assignment regarding her theatre studies module. Overall, the play is humourous and yet quite chim oso so much so that me and adeline were lyk staring at each other wondering what is that scenrio trying to depict. But good thing, it is not me hu nid to shang nao jin bt is she!!Wahahas adeline, jiayou for ur assignment!!:D
And afterwards, we were fortunate to be able to catch a live band perf by one of the established band in spore, Vertical Rush and their songs were really great and we feel that they are by far the best band we have seen perfing live in spore!!:D:D

And yest, big thanks to the wonderful cgl, ms phoebe yee for treating us to superdogs at vivo after svc!This small blessing makes me feel so blessed and loved at the same time and we had a grt time fellowshipping tgt dicussing about lots of thigns and of cos, jokes too:D

Wahahas, and today finally got to mit up with yinsing after around half a yr!!we got this super good deal where we had a 1 to 1 free main course at swensen, whoich means nxt time we go swensen it is absoultely free of charge:D

In Jere 29:11 it says, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.'

Yest, a very powerful speaker nick vujicic minister to us in the service. Nick was a man who was born without any limbs at all, yet his life touches millions of ppl beacuse he was always so postivie in spite of his circumstances and instead of wallowing in self pity, he decided to be a blessing to others and is now the director of the Life Without Limbs organisation (www.lifewithoutlimbs.org). He taught us about the power of perspective to embrace cirumstances in our life. Many a times when we face problems, we always wonder how come God nv help us at that period and how coem He nv change our circumstances even though He proclaimed Himself as the Victor and the Conqueror. Yet however, God will not change our circumstances first, rather He will change our hearts first so that our hearts are set right before Him. That even though i may not understand what i am going thru, but i wil stil trust in HIm and His grace is sufficient for me.

When i begi to hear him speak, it begins to make me feel how fortunate that my life is physically complete, and that makes me reflect how much i have accomplisghed in my life. To him, a life without limbs does not mean a life full of limits, rather it means to him a life full of possibilites and unlimits. Even without limbs, he is able to make full use of what God has given him to impact and bless millions of ppl. A life full of possibilites and productivity is what i need to work towards too.:D

Hahas yest i was given the Certificate of Christian Foundation (CCF) for completing 7 bible studies books (Getting Started, Chrisitan Lifestyle, Victorious Living, Laying Foundation, Foundation Truths 1 and 2, Going on to Perfection). It was very heartwarming as it is a form of recognition for the effort one put in to go thru all these bible studies. But more than that, i am so thankful for God for bringing me thru so much that out of these 7 books, i got to know more abt Him and most impt, learning how to live a life that is worthy. The fotos show my beloved my cgl and cg w325!!And a big thanks to them for getting me a book, the fourth dimension by Dr Yoggi Cho!!:D

This may surprise ppl, but songwriting is hard work. Hours are spent pouring over notebooks, scraps of paper, napkins, Dictaphone recordings and rhyming dictionaries. Songs get thrown out, re-written, sped up, slowed down and the chorus of one swapped with the verse of another. Indeed, there are many opportunities in life that come and go, and to some ppl, they relate all this as concidence; if they are meant to grab my attention it will someho, if it is not destined to grab my attention, then i shld just ignore it. However, i should not miss an opportunity just becase it is inconvenient for me, rather, i must discern more for opportunities to come.

I oso learn that i shld be a 'NOW' person; taking hold of each day, making it fruitful and exciting. In Ex3:13-14, God says that I Am Who I am, and similarly, if i know who I am in Christ, if i BELIEVE the promises that holds for me, my life will never be stagnant and i can find myself producing fruits everyday. Just like an apple tree; it know that it is an apple tree and that's y it produces apple fruits!!:D

God says that we shld live by faith and not by sight, and in Heb11:1, it says that Now faith is the substance of things hope for...., so faith is not faith unless it is now. Hence am i going to enjoy today?am i going to make the out of today?Don waste today just by worrying abt tml or regretting tml. make the most out of today.

Eph 5:15-17, it toks abt how we shld redeem time and understand what the will of the Lord is. God's will is that whatever thing i do, i do it passionately and that i will use the resources i have to be a blessing to other ppl.

Just like how the guy in the pool of Besethda who waited 38 yrs for healing; every yr only one person who was sick in the body can get into the pool and be healed, and because the guy was lame and could not walk, he waited in near the pool and everytime he wanted to get in, some other ppl will go before him. And this shows us how seizing the moment is so impt, if he could use his body to move even an inch each day, by the end of 38 yrs, he would have reached the edge of the pool and be healed without waiting for Jesus to come and healed him. How blind Bartemaues sream for Jesus when he saw Him coming; how he grab hold of each and every opportunity to grab hold of His attention despite ppl asking him to shut up.

This two stories have taught me that how we shld make full use of every day; how i should do the things i am passionate about which will bear fruits and be a blessing to other ppl, how i should seize the moment and not regretting it in future when i begin to look back.

On another note, today was travelling with my brother on the train and he mentioned to me that one of his medical group teacher begin to ask them why they ever want to study medicine and become doctor. And he told me that two ppl replied that it is God's calling for them. My brother may be feeling that these two person are just tinking too noble of themselves. However i was telling his that these two ppl are so blessed to discover their calling in life at this point of time. I told him that it is not easy to discover what purpose u hav in life and that even for myself i haven really discover my calling that God has for me. True enuf, they will all eventually grad and become wonderful doctors, but to this two ppl, more than just beoming a doctor, they have find assurance from God that the path they walked is in the right direction and no matter what happen, they noe that they will be fruitful and go on to achieve their destiny in life. I may not have find my true calling yet, but i believe that God is withholding it from me so that i can mould my character to prepare myself to achieve His purpose for me.

The first time i hear this song, iwas so touched by it that i almost wept. Wad a beautiful song it is, though the lyrics are simple without using any bombastic words, but this song truly express how a person long so much for the presence of God and how wonderful He is in our life.

There are two phraes that truly touches my heart when i hear this song; firstly, its the verse 'IN THE END JUST TO HEAR YOU SAY “WELL DONE” '. During our walk with God, we know that whatever things we done, His will for us is to walk in His ways and obey His commandments, and how wonderful a feeling it is when at the end of the day, after puttin in so much effort and hard work, when God finally praise you by saying "well done son, u have done a grt work in ur life". Truly, pleasing and glorifying God is the aim of my life, but at times, it is so difficult to do things to its best, but able to hear a 'well done' from God will motivate me to use my talents and gift to do His work even though the future may seem bleak and do not know what it holds.

The 2nd verse that touches me is "GOD OF MY FOREVER
AND FOREVER I WILL SING". Even though this verse may seem so simple where we always say God is our forever, but how many of us really mean it in our heart?Do we really place Him at the top of our priorites in lives and that whatever things we do, we place Him at the top and other things come in 2nd?To me, God plays really a very impt part in my life and it is He who make me who i am today, but at times, i find it hard just to forsake some things that is so impt to me juz to place Him as my priorities. And how do we sing forever that He is God of our forever?When we begin to sing, it is not just pure voices coming out of our mouths, but as we begin to sing, it is out of our inner being, for out of the inward comes the outward and the inward truly reflects who we really are and what our beliefs are. So in our everyday lives as we begin to sing that He is our foever, it is really living the life that God wans us to live; by making full use out of everyday, by living the purpose that He has for us, by doing things that at the end of the day will bring glory to Him. This song has really moivate and convict me to live a life that is really for God, not just passing by each day without purpose, but instead to live a life that bear fruits that as the bible says, whatever things i do, gif due thanks and glory to Him.

Hahas, this is the song which my instructor taught me wif de drums!!:D It is a song by lifehouse and though i nv hear it before, but it's really a nice song and got to learn it finish in tat lesson!!:D Hahas, drum learning has been getting more enjoyable cos of the wae de lessons r taught; they incalcuate theory tgt wif practical wif songs, making it easier and more effective to grasp it:D And today learn how to beat 6/8 time signature beats and de different fill-ins using all de toms and i can sae tat i really learn alot frm him just in 2 weeks time:D Next lesson will be playing the song unwell by matchbox 20, which i myself am excited for it orde:D And most amazing thing is tat my sec sch klassmate is learning under de same school same cher but diff timing onli!!:D

On another note, today as i was on my way back home on de train, was jux listening to the song God will Save where it toks abt how even in difficult times and trials, God will always make a wae out of us and suddenly God suddenly just spoke to me one thing which deeply impacted me and change my wae of thinking and perceptions abt frens. He was telling me the importance of having frens in our lives and how at times, i may tend to take frens for granted, like wad the proberbs always sae, don shed crocodile tears onli when the person is gone. So during gd times or normal days, we may tend to be so busy that we forgot to care for frens hu r so dear to our lives and it is only when something happens that den we will noe how to care for them. Just like wad Acts 2:47 says, praising God and finding favour wif all de ppl, and that is if i wan to see ppl transformation in my life, i muz be able to find favour wif them and that is onli when we begin to care for our frens and do the small little things that may seem insignificant, but defiintely v meaningful to them. And i have overlook that part and i know that i have taken some of my frens really for granted but i thank God that i was reminded of this early:D

On a happier note, am so proud of my bro that he got the 10k scholarship award for the 3rd consective yr again, and tat means bulk of his tutition fee in uni every yr is being covered for and sure hope that he will be in de dean list for every yr mans!!:D:D

Hahas, love this album very mucu, esp when u keep on hearing it; it toks abt non-conformity in our lives and how in this present generation, we shld live our lives to the fullest and utmost potential for God. And interestingly, i discover that the songs in de cd somehow flow along through a journey in a christian life; Awaken my soul talks about a person decision to stand up right for God once again and there burn within a deep passion for him to shine for God. As the songs progress, the person met up with obstacles along the way and this is the point where he realises that in life, it is not enuf juz to depen on one's strength and ability, but by committing his ways and trusting in Gd, will his ways be established. And once again, he starts to breakaway and have breakthru in his life and through the all series of songs, he started to appreciate what God has done for him and sang praises for his. And this cd touch me so much cos it reali speaks so much into our lives, where we met problems in lives but standing up again with God in our midst!!:D

So for all those hu haven buy, faster grab one copy, u reali won regret buying it!!;)

On another note, i signed up for drums course at replugged music school near bugis street there!!:D For those wanna check it out, the webbie is www.replugged.com. Hahas was having the tot of learning it after NS, but come to tink of it, y don i make use of my time during this 2 yrs and when i come out of NS, i will have pick up skills in tat area. So today was my first lesson, and it turn out that the first lesson was orde so amazing and interesting; learn alot of new theories and realise the mistakes that i made last time during drumming!!:D Hahas and they emphaise so much of grooming everyone into independent musicaian with the ability to improvise creatively instead of just recording scores and scores and following them. As such, first lesson, i orde start my step on the drum kit where he taught me diff beats notations, diff fill-ins which i nv learn before!!:D And the best part of the school is that they let u practice anitime anidae if u r free. Gotta prac hard and hope that at the end of the 2 yr when the whole course finish, i will learn to play it confidently:D

Hahas and speical mention to val!!Cos she just wrote a new song which is like so beautifully written!!:D It really touched my heart when i see the lyrics cos its so meangingful!!:D

Hahas well, lots of ppl sae tat this time round, harry potter de movie was quite a disappointment; some saying that the plot is not nice; some sae the content is all mixed up, but well i feel it is really quite a movie worth wtaching it even though i may not be a harry potter fan and only watch de first 2 volume of the movies!!:D Hahas 2dae watched de movie wif adeline and we both think the two wesley twins r so tall and handsome!!:D The plot may not be tat wow, but the special effects are definietyly a plus point and de ending is perfect mans!!:D

Hahas sure hope this really dear fren of mine will be able to read this post and know that it is written for him/her!!:D Guess that so many things have been happening and we tend to get frustrated over the things in our lives. To you, the future may seem uncertain for u and that u do not really know what paths to choose nor wad decision to make at this point of time, but what i can encourage u is that with every trial and tribulations we go thru, God will always give us a better wae out and out of the incidents we had, we will emerged even stronger than before!!:D Remember on the Sermon on the Mount where pst tok abt the topic of being merciful and he pointed out that God gives us trials not to bring us down, but out of it, we will understand how to deal with it and in turn be a great blessing and help to others:D

Hahas, i may not have wonderful advice for u nor can i tell u wad to do, but just wanna sae that God is always with u and no matter where we are, He will always leave a blessing at the end of the road and be with us during this period so tha we can trust and depend even more on Him. Alot of unfortunate things happened to me during my days in NS which at times devastated my spirit, but i thanked God that i never give up on Him and indeed, He is faithful to help me tide over my problems:D

Our walk with God is liken to a walk with Him on a beach; when we walk with Him, we don see 2 pairs of footprints but just one; and that is cos Jesus is carrying us no matter where are we or what our circumstances are, and He will leave these footprints behing to remind us of His goodness and grace that He has shown us in times of need:D So cheer up my dear fren, u may feel sad at times, but wells, life is always full of challenges so let fight on tgt and know that there r a grt bunch of devoted and committed frens behind u running the race tgt with u!!:D

Moving up to a whole new level:D

Hahas first of all, it's been such grt joy to see so many ppl impacted during the emerge session last week, and all those testimonials they shared have deeply inspired me and touched me to move on to a whole new level!!:D Life is alwyas full of challenges and at times we feel that so many things are unachievale and impossible, but yest i learnt a wonderful lesson about doing the impossible:D

To God, impossible is simply means as I-M-Possible, and in His Word, He says with men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible:D To us, we all have our impossiblities in lives, but yet, as we begin to depend on God and visualise ourselves doing it, we can reach the possible at the end of the day. Some people may question: How come i stil cant do the impossible even though i have God in mylife? The key lies in our whole attitudes and mindset. So long as we stil embrace the old mindset that we have, we won be able to do them, for new wine cant go into old wineskins but into new wineskin. In order to do the impossibe, we need to step out of our own comfort zone and begin to have a totally new mindset.

This is so true for me in my life. One of the impossible that i have in my life is to able to compose songs that will be widely sung in de future. I alwyas feel that it may be just a wishful thinking on my part, yet when yest i learn about how Peter step out of his boat and follow Jesus to walk on de water, i began to tell God, so long as i hold onto ur hand, as i begin to have a total renewed mind, why cant i songwrite?:D

Indeed, it is time for me to move up to a new level instead of staying stagnant and carrying on the life that i have now, but i know that even in camp, i can stil discipline myself to carry on with the passion and vision that God has given me!!:D

On a side note, yest nitey went wif adeline to watch shrek 3!!:D Hahas she sae when she wanna watch shrek, she immeditely tink of asking me, and same here cos she is always de joie; cheerful gal that i will find joy with watching tgt!!:D Hahas shrek 3 is realli nice n touching, for those hu r considering watching it, beta grab de chance and watch it!!:D:D We had to catch a cab to plaza sing cos it starts at 845 and by the time we come out of expo its orde lyk 820 le!!After tat rush to mac to buy our dinner and 'smuggle' them in!!:D After the movie, went to carrefour to buy some supper, oh mans we both sure can eat alot mans even though we juz had dinner like 1 hr ago, opps!!:D Walked back to city hall while savouring our nice choco eclair and cake, quite sinful huh ade?hahas bt it was nice hanging out with her cos she is so fun to tok to, n we gonna have more of such nxt time!!:D

Emerge 2007 has been really one of de greatest conference this year, and i feel so blessed to be able to have a long hol period during this time, that i get to attend most of the emerge activites and sessions:D The conference aims to empower youths with the visions and dreams and the strength to go out all, releasing their fullest potential that God has given them to engage the culutre and build it upon the marketplace and society. Indeed, we youths have the energy, time and ambitions to impact the society today and wad more a better time to start than now. What impacted most during this conference is the different performances put up by differen artists like Darren Tay, Chen Di Ya, Tank, Liu Geng Hong, Tony Royston Junior, where the advice they give to youths today is to go all out to achieve our dreams that we have for God. In their life vocab, there is no word such as 'cant', rather, with the talent they have, difficult as the journey may seem, they keep on moving forward despite facing oppositions and discouragemnt along the way. And indeed God is a God that never fails to reward the diligence. This has even inspire me to really go all our to achieve my passion in music and to use this talent for the kingdom of God:D

Field Camp 25/5--30/5

Hahas the title says it all!!:D Been so relieved that field camp is over and finally over, just days before de field camp, was thinking that i cant come out during my weekend and that it will be long before i get to see my family and friends. But well, field camp is tiring but indeed enriching at the same time; we overcome problems together and went thru hardship tgt and thus in de process, manage to forge an even greater frenship between my section mates. We had to build basha in the middle of the hot afternoon, learn different combat drills and how to operate them in de jungle, underwent punishments tgt, doing sentry duties to prevent our wives from being stolen, toking crap tgt during rest time, digging a hole to do our 'business', and having 3 little pails of water to bathe ourselves on the fifth day. Indeed what my instructors say were really true; as much as we don lyk to go thru this kind of stuff, but its once a lifetime thingy and when we look back, indeed it leaves us fond memories which we can hold on when we grow up:D

Hahas managed to went for Cantabile aka njchoir concert in de last min, thanks to huacheng hu managed to help me find de tix!!:D Hahas, been such a joy to see the choir winning the GWH and perf their peices in VCH. As i watch them sing, it brought back memories of the Italy trip and the cantab last year; and i will truly sae i miss singing in a choir and acapella group so so so much. In a way, it helps me to affirm my passion in singing and congrats esp to mavis xh rhoda louis cheryl our batch ppl for perf well in de alumni!!:D

Hahas finally a week has passed again and here i am having the chance to blog again!!:D Special thanks to my sections 5 wonderful shooters; if not for them, we will not have book out early on friday instead of waking up at 5 on sat, eating breakfast and then do area cleaning before going home!!:D

Hahas and yest was specially happy cos i manage to make it for cgm and have the chance to play for cgm again after 1mnths plus of not playing!!:D Hahas, it feel really grt to be playing again and thank God for using me as a tool to bring the ppl closer to ur presence!!:D

This week learnt about being merciful in my everyday life which i feel its so true cos in life, we bound to have sorrows, hatred and unforgiveness, yet it is the unforgiveness and resentment that causes us to produce bitterness in our heart and eventually leads to emotional and mental stress. To me, it is not easy to forgive ppl esp when they have hurt me in a very deep way, yet when i find myself trying my best to forgive themm, it is like a heavy burden have been lifted off my mind.

To be merciful is to show forgiveness, compassion and kindness. It is not just showing mere pity on a person, but also providing the solutions to solve their problems.

Mercy, forgiveness and compassion are all in de realm of attitudes, they cannot be mandated or enforced, rather, i need to decidie for myself cos nobody can force me to forgive this person or that person. Yet, how then do we learn how to show mercy to others?

The key is to learn mercy, we often have to undergo temtations and difficulities so that we can develop compassion and empathy for others. For example, let say a person score badly in his exams. When ppl heard it, the first tot they have in their mind is to lecture the person for not studying hard enough. Instead of understanding the situation first, they jump straight to criticism. yet on the other hand, let say i have been through exams and just like the guy, score badly initally and later work hard to achive good results, instead of criticising him, i will understand his situation and offer encouragment and empathy first. This is just a small scale, yet in our lives, we experience greater and more difficult trials so that when we are subject to difficuties, we will be able to develop empathy for others. So, let us all be the source of mercy we can provide for others as a result of the tribulations that we have all gone thru.

The most important lesson i learnt is that the key to forgiveness is forgetfulness. Of cos, it is definitely not easy to forget the person hu have hurt me deeply, yet, when we make de decision to tell tat person ' oh, tat incident really happen? i don remember that!!' to the both of us, that staement will mean an eternal blessing; the person recieve forgiveness, while i receive healing in my mind.

Hahas sorri for posting such long entry, but jux wanna encourage each and everyone of u, right now u may have someone whom u cant seem to be able to forgive or in future u find in hard to forgive someone who will hurt u, but make a decision to forgive and forget, for when we offer forgiveness to others, we in turn recieve forgiveness when we done things wrong too. It may take just a while, few months, few yrs to forgive that some1, but as we begin to walk in forgiveness, we find ourselves walking in optimism, cheerfulness and mercy:D

When i chance upon this name on the net, it just simply caught my eye cos the name is so meaningful; using the gift that God has given. And it really inspired me to turn my dreams into reality and by using what God has given me to acheive my destiny! Believe that a new enocunter will bring on a whole new life, and i am prepared to do greater things for God in future even though i may face difficulties.

Learnt a very impt attitude called meekness yesterday whicgh i feel that it is a must have attitude if we want to build on a closer and deeper relationship with each other. Simply, meekness does not mean weakling, and lack of personality, opinion or self esteem.

1. Meekness is the attitude of humility
2. Meekness is esteeming others better than yourself
3. Meekeness is the absence of the spirit of retaliation
4. Meekness is the presence of self-control
5. Meekness is total trust in the Lord
6. Meekness is demonstrated by serving others
7. Meekness is submission to God's will.

And what deeply impacted me is that meekenss means the absence of retaliation. At times, when we face a conflict with even our best friends, we tend to aruge or so call retaliate just to make sure that our own views or points are correct. Yet, even when sometimes we are correct, but if we do not exercise self-control and ended up in argument, that is when relationships will experiece a crack. What pst Kong said yest that touches me most is that i need to forgo some of my rights and hold my emotions in check at times and when i do that, God will defense me and the truth will come to light. As such, when we face conflicts at times, we shld really ask ourselves isit really worth breaking a relationship that could be build upon for years just to make sure we are always right all the time??

Only when we learn to self control, we learn how to be meek and we shall achieve our destiny:D

Hahas roy is back here again!!:D This week seems to pass qucker and faster than de previous week, mayb it is getting used to de life in camp already!!:D But this week is indeed very bless, cos i get to catch up wif my besties and learn alot of things on a sat evening!!:D

Just 1 hour before i started blogging, got to meet up with mavis and xh at jp!!Stil rem how we always liketo meet up in town over a meal and yet we r v contented wif jux mitin up at jp!!Had kfc though, n being in camp makes ppl reali miss the fastfood oso!!:D First of all, gotta congrats to mav for being admitted to mass comm, which is the course of her dream!!Even though she nv reali express out her happiness, but inoe deep inside she feel reali happy and contented yea?Hahas and of cos to xh, being admitted to mass comm oso and doing well in her law interview, sure hope tat she can get into NUS Law, jiayou xh!!:D And i oso feel contented for being admitted into NUS biz orde, when i receive the lettwer, certainly feel a sign of relief!!:D Though we mit up for a short 2 hrs onli, but being able to see them and tok to them makes me feel tat i shld treasure my time wif fam and frens even more!!:D

Yest was really an impacting day for me, soon after coming home, took a cab to attend baptism klass!!And what most impractedme was the svc by Rev Robb Thompson, toking abt wad is my manifesto in life aka what is my public declaration of my standards and principles:D

Which decision is more painful?Momentarily saying 'No' to yurself or a life of heaven saying 'No' to you?

Sometimes, when we make decisions, it is really not easy saying no to yourself cos we hav to face temptations all the time and often, we make decisions for our own comfort and desires rather than making wise decisions for our future. 8 very impt points that we can learn about:

1. No matter how difficult life may seem, we must never let our cirumstances dictate our decisions.

We must hold fast to our principles and belifs and at the same time, never allow comfortable decisions to affect my futute.

2. We will either raise our standards to meet our expectations or lower our standards to match our perf.

When we raise our standrads, only then can we enjoy the blessings and the fruit of our effort better.

3. Only the irresonsible are willing to sacrifice the future in order to enjoy the present.

4. The potrait of my life is painted with the brush of my character.

Therefore things we can ask ourselves are: What is my chraacter?Can i be trusted?Am i a man of word and integrity?What is my standings in life? Cos ulitmately, what we stand for will determine what kind of future we r gonna hav

5.We can never know a person by what they say. We really meet and know them the moment i am williong to believe what they do.

6. The productivity of any relationship is dependent upon the standrards it celebrates.

Requitement for relaionship:

(a) must be committed to life long relationships
(b) must be moving towards a productive future
(c)must be generous
(d) must qualify to receive my seed. The future of my seed depends on the quality of the seed
(e) must celevbrate character before celebrating friendship.
(f) must be willing to confront my enemies.

7. There is nothing more dangerous than the moment i become a hostage to yest comfort zone.

8. Whatever i refuse to confront today will be next to impossible to conquer tomorrow.

My enemies are the smallest the first time i meet them. If i choose to ignore it, it will grow even bigger and more difficult to handle it.

What wonderful lessons i learn yest; sometimes in a situation there is always 2 sides, and most of the time we face a dilemna of making a more comfortable decision. Yet we failed to realise that when we make the more comfotable one instead of the wise 1, it will affect and jeopardise our future in the end. But i thank God for giving me the opportunity to leran such an impt lesson that next time when i make a decision, always tink of its conseuqneces and ultimately the kind of future that it will lead to:D:D:D

Hahas phew, after 1 week of incamp life, finally get to come out le!!:D to alot of us, seeing the outside world is so refreshed and heavenly, esp when time pass really slow during camp!!:D Trainings were defintely tough and i injure my back as a result on thur due to old injury, so now currently on mc bt well, i sure hope my back will be well again cos i wanna cont training and catch up wif de rest!!:D But sometimes, it reali makes me wanna gif up esp when the trainings r so intensive and i wil keep asking myself, how come i din request to be posted to tekong and instead, training so hard here?But even though rite now i don hav an ans frm God yet, for now, i wil juxt cont to pray and hope God realli speaks to me ba!!

Went to svc yest, reali miss the ppl there so much and oso the praise and worship, preaching and everything else!!For the rare times in my life, i could actually feel so close to God and juxt knwoing He is just beside me, sepaking nth bt jux pouring out His love to me, Thanks so much Jesus!!:D

Hahas, going to book in a few hrs time le, back to inside wold again and a whole new week of camp life!!See ya peeps ard!!:D:D

HAhas finally, it is like jux around 9 more hrs to me being in sembawang liao, right now my feelings r mixed, excited and nervous at de same time; excited being it will be a totally new exp, mitin new mates and of cos able to reach out and build grter relationships; nervous being about the trainings, physical tough trainings esp in de sea jux make me shudder??:D

Hahas don noe wad to blog right now oso, jux wanna sae tat i will miss all my frens out there, even though will be out in lyk 2 or 3 weeks times, but i guess life out here and life inside will be really diff too!!:D But jux wanna sae a big thanks to those hu hav given me memorable and nice farewell and all these will serve to motivate me to perf even beta in NS!!:D Gotaa miss u all peeps ah!!:D:D

A day jux before NS;)

Hahas so as i m bloggig right now, there is still left roughly around 31 hrs to my NS le, excited and yet nervous at de same time too, but as the day is coming by nearaer and nearer, i find myself treasuring the time even more and jux hope to catch up wif some of my frens before i get in!!:D

So today in de morn, went to de gym to hav a 2 hrs workout!!Well it is not really last min training, just to make myself more refreshed to start the day right and make me feel much beta before going into NS??

After that went to have lunch at pizza hut je with my sec sch choir mate yin sing!!:D Been long time since i catch up with her le, lyk if i din rem wrongly, nv met her since last yr liao!!:S Hahas but it was nice tok though and if u r reading this, sure hope u hav a well deserved break to recharge urself and u finding a beta and more friendly environment job!!:D:D

Hahas then happen to meet my 2nd bro at jp so we decided to shop tgt for his vietnam trip tml!!:D Tink since today is his lsat exam paper, he seem more happy, peaceful!!And so he bot a few clothes here and there and sure hope he enjoy his trip!!Tml will be sending him off though!!:D:D

Hahas, then met up with my dearest cell grp w325 at jp bentobox!!:D First of all, let me say a very big thanks to u all for giving me such a nice farewell!!:D Though we may not be tgt tat long but i certainly feel the love and care u all have given me!!:D And here r some of de memorable photos!!:D

Hahas after that head down to meet up with adeline and so sorry for making her wait in de office for so long!!:D But wells, we headed down to esplandade and on our way, we saw a insturmental perf which i kept saying is i arranged for her de but well she jux don believe me!!hahas and she tell me to wave to a gal perfing so ppl will tot i m her bro and so i jux wave, it was quite funny la when ppl don noe hu we waving too!!:D so here r some of de fotos!!:D

Soon after that, we headed to makansutra at de esplandae to eat!!well initally i always tot it is jux a program in tv, but it turns out to be like a hawker where all de famous food r gathered there!!:D So not to miss this opportunity of savouring all de good food, we ordered the all time fav orh lua, satay and stingray, yummy!!:D Ade was saying that lyk tat she won undergo mulnutiriton cos she always skip her dinner la oh mans!!:s

Then we walk awhile and proceeded back to the esplanade again!!Oh mans ade we mux watch phantom ah!!:D Then we saw some art pieces which upon closer look, u will noe wad it is!!:D But somehow, there seem to be a model promoting umbrella stand??

Hahas first of all, let me congrats rhoda for finding a new job at GIC!!:D Hahas well even though u may be v busy wif 2 jobs, but i noe u will really enjoy the process and learn alot from it!!:D HAhas so 2dae we de besties ( xiaohui rhoda mav me) went to tanjong pager there to mit up and hav lunch!!After searching for ard 30 mins, we found de most famous yu pian mi fen aka Ya Soh Fish Noodle!!:D Celebrities like Fei Xiang, Nicholas Tse and Father, Liu De Hua, Jeff Wong and much more!!:D But the place really live up to the name and thanks to the three of them for treating me and i really appreciate it, gotta miss u all much when i m inside!!:D

After that went to suntec to exchange a shirt for my bro and m glad that my bro was pleased with the new shirt though and we headed to coffebean to sit down and chat!!:D

Well xiaohui and mavis ask me whether a r/s is worth it when it is filled with sweetness and yet bitterness and quarrels at de same time. To me i feel that even when such r/s happen in my life, it will be worth it cos God always place some probs and trails in relationships so that they both will grow up stronger tgt and yet discover God purpose and destiny for the two of them. Hahas if a r/s is jux really a bed of roses all de way, we cant really understand each other beta and end up only knowing the other party character on de surface:D But well i m certainly looking forward to the day when i can get to noe my other half too hehes!!:D

Hahas well so here marks almost the end of the week le, looking back at it, the days have been rather relaxing been busy catching up with frens before NS, training, playing guit!!:D Yest was good friday and we had our first easter svc!!:D So invited someof my frens over to watch the musical n the night before as i was praying to God, He suddenly impresses me to sms my tutee shirlene and invite her too!!:D And praise God, she did come eventually after so much persuasion and she really did enjoy herself, saeying that our church is so hip and happening and she enjoy the musical so much!!:D Hahas but glory be to Him cos she recieve Christ into her life!!Believe that at the instant when she raised her hand, she had an enocunter with God!!:D

Next tues will be my last tuition with her le, after that giving the job to my klassmate cecily!!:D Hahas come to tink of it, being a tuition teacher is really a satisfying job to be!!Gotta admit that the monetary benefits is really an impt factor, but ultimately, the vision of able to touch a person's life is the greatsst achivement one can get from teaching the student!!Always rem before i start tution with her, always ask her how she getting on in life and always ans some ques that she poses about life before starting our lessons proper, n in this 3 mnths, not only she has grown but i find myself growing alot from it too!!:D N its exceptionally happy when she says that her maths really improve alot!!:D Hahas hope i won miss her too much though!!:D

Equinox: Breaking two Carlsberg world record:D

Hahas once upon a time in a farway msn chat between adeline and royston, ade suggested eating smth POSH with jme since she is feeling R-I-C-H!!:D Wahahas so she began searching for all the possible restaurants in different hotels and immeditaely we tot of equinox ( inspired by debbie), a 69th storey restuarant at swissotel!!Hahas but well, the price somehow pull us out of the tot and we finally come to a conclusion, mit at clarke quay then decide!!:D

Hahas so the next day, she suddenly gave roy a call saying that actually equinox prices are quite affordable and so spontaenously, reservations were made!!:D

Wahahas i tell you, equinox is de place where we really break 2 carlsberg record, firstly the highest place that we ever dine in!! Ade record was 66th at UOB, mine is 30th at ah ma hse, Jme was 33th at Bro D hse!!:D As for the second, shall reveal it later!!:D

Anyway, this entry is really dedictaed to my two best friends and i noe and i noe u 2 will be reading this!!:D

The scenary was really spectualar, after being led to our tables, we started tooking some pictures!!:D

Hahas and right after ordering our dishes, we were served with bread!!:D Ok guys, this are different from those like cafe cartel and pasta; besides having free flow, the bread are hot, crisp and of different kind!! Me and ade love the honey sugar bread while jme prefers the normal bread wif butter!!:D

Hahas after that, we were told to wait for around 30 mins for our dishes and what to do?We jux spend the time chatting and catching up with each other n taking more photos!!:D

Hahas okeis here comes the highlight of de whole night, the food of cos!!:D The main course had a reasonable serving but certainly, the food was fresh and of the highest quality!!:D Money spent on it was definitely worth it, and now, let me post some fotos to make u all liu kou shui!!;):p

Hahas and that is jme's 1: White Mos Cod(Am i corect?) Hahas acc to her, the fish tasted like scallop but definitely fresh!!:D

Hahas and that is mine: Lobster with scallop!!:D Though the serving looks bit small, but well u can jux guess how nice the food is le!!:D

This desert dish is called sweet temptation, which we feel is de most worthit, cos it has 4 different kinds of desserts and each has its own unique taste!!:D

And of cos cheers to a fruitful and everlasting strong frenship!!:D

Hahas and there, we jux ate and sat there chatting to each other for 3 hours and it's always been grt to tok to ur best frens to share wif them deeper things and understand each other beta too!!:D:D

Leaving Equinox will be a waste if we don take more fotos so here we goes!!:D

Okies here comes de 2nd carlsberg record!!:D Hahas and that is, we went to the highest toilet that we have went ever before!!:D Its 68th storey high and the whole floor is jux dedicated to toilets!!:D Hahas upon reaching de floor, we were greeted by cabinets of wines that were exquisite and of cos expensive!!:D The toilets were also designed in such a wae that looks like a resort and definitely a place to record it down in memories!!:D:D

Hahas and that marks a beautiful and memorable night i had before my NS!!:D Thanks so much adeline and jamie, u 2 really impacted and bring lots of joy to my christian walk wif God and i noe u 2 will always be there when i have problems!!:D Thanks so much!!:D:D:D:D:D:D

Hahas, counting down to NS, there is only rougly 10 days more!!:S Come to tink of it, this year has been passing so quickly that i din realise for a moment that NS is coming soon!!:D Hahas alot of ppl say that being in the NDU is really a privilege, considering that there is only about 180 people inside every year, yet on the other hand, trainings will be like commandos on par!!So, one side of me is excited about it and yet another side of me is worried but gotta beleive that God placed me there for a purpose!!:D Hahas will be taking the remaining days to really train hard and make sure i go in fit too!!:D

Hahas and also, gotta worry about who will be helping me to take care my guitars when i go in!!Was asking my bro to help me polish and clean them but well he don seem really keen to help me hehe!!Will miss so much of them when i m not at home!!
